I thought looking at a blank page in a brand new sketchbook was scary. It has nothing over looking at a blank (1st) page of a blog.
I plan on this blog on being my journey of learning how to watercolor and other creative things I do. The watercolor is the motivator on this page though. I want to tell you about my felting and knitting and my silk painting also. Most of all the sketchbook journaling that I have just started.
I signed up for this class called Sketchbook Skool. It started on Friday 4/4/14. These first days of doing assignments has changed me. I just want to draw and paint everyday. I post my things online in a couple of Facebook groups. There are several I have joined but only three I post on.
They are:
Journal52-this is a group designed to do a journal page once a week. The admin of the group comes up with a title and you would journal something that fits the title. This weeks title is Rain or Shine. I did a landscape of a rain shower moving through a valley over some mountains.
When I posted this I got several likes and even a couple of people said they liked it and I had done a good job. What do you think?
The next group is Everyday Matters-This group has 386 different challenges and in this one I did the number one challenge of drawing some shoes.
This is much more to my liking. I am the type of person who needs the control of the subject. The first one was to wishy washy for me to really like.
The next group is Sketchbook Skool - This group is comprised of teachers for this school and every past and present student associated with Danny Gregory. He is the main man in the class and has a extensive following who on the most part all part of this group. For this group I posted a watercolor of part of our back yard. This was really like as well.
These two I am not very proud of. I did some very helpful suggestions that I hope this next pic will show a better attempt at pen to paper with NO color.

Okay was having trouble with post this pic but now back on course.
The final posts I have done are the ones for the Klass it self. The next three are in order of appearance on the site.
The teacup and scones were very well accepted and got lots of positive feedback. I really thought this come out nice also I really like this one. These two I am not very proud of. I did some very helpful suggestions that I hope this next pic will show a better attempt at pen to paper with NO color.
Well It getting late and I think my husband thinks I am going to starve him to death. Not to bad for the first post. Hope someone will actually read this. Take care and keep drawing.
